Halloween

πŸŽƒ Jason Themed Lasagna

Have you ever made a lasagna that has a cheese Jason head?

I had never made that prior to this. This Halloween season, I have been very curious about baking and cooking Halloween-themed things. I came to find out that no one will make it feel like Halloween but yourself. We are the only ones who can make holidays feel like holidays. It’s great, but it’s our turn now.

Making this lasagna was honestly such a great learning experience for me. I found an Italian lasagna recipe online. I did that and then decided to add a Jason head on the lasagna.

It was my boyfriend’s birthday, and I decided to make a lasagna for him with Jason on the actual lasagna. This was such a fun thing to do!!

Instructions While the lasagna cooks

You will trace the Jason drawing that’s on the right with a food-safe marker, but only the head and the bigger pieces, like the ones that are highlighted on the image to the right. (If you don’t have a food-safe marker, you can always use a regular marker, just make sure you do the Jason head a little bit smaller so you can cut the pieces with the marker on it.) How will you trace it? You can use your computer, TV, phone, tablet, or even print the picture on paper and just trace it in that way..

With an Exacto knife, you will cut out the head shape and cut out the head. There is an image above and an even bigger image down below that you can refer to. That way, you are able to keep track of the pieces of parchment paper and black olive cutouts you will need.

Once all the parts are cut and set to the side, you will pre-shred the cheese and set it aside.

You will then get the olives, cut them in half, then use a piping tip that’s a circle to cut out the olives.

Once you cut out your desired amount of olives, you will then place them to the side.

Finally, you will be getting the black food coloring, and put about 5 drops into a small container and then place a chunk of pre-shredded cheese into the bowl. You will then mix and make sure the black food coloring stains all of the cheese. (Remember that it also depends on the amount of cheese you decide to use, and it also depends on the color you desire; you don’t want to add too much food coloring to the cheese because it can give it a weird flavor. If you are worried about that, you can see the tip down below to see how you can remove the black cheese parts from the lasagna.)

I then got a ball of cheese and got one of the parchment paper cutout pieces, and then I made sure the cheese was covering the whole cut-out. I then used a baking utensil to cut out the cheese to the desired shape. (You can also use a butter knife or a small knife.)

Parchment Paper & Black Olive Cutout Pieces

To the left are the cut-outs you will need of each for the lasagna.

You can make the head whatever size you’d like. You can use your computer, TV, phone, tablet, or even print the picture on paper and just trace it like that.

You need parchment paper because you will be placing the cutout of the head on the lasagna . Depending on what or how you make it, you just need to be sure to place the head parchment paper cutout and place it on your lasagna, then place the cheese in the center. Put it back in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, or take it out as soon as the cheese is fully melted. Once the cheese is melted, you will be getting your parchment paper cheese mold and put it on the lasagna.

How to easily be able to remove the black cheese from lasagna

You can always just leave the cheese-shaped mold stuck on the parchment paper, that way you can easily remove it from the lasagna when served.

Let cool for about 12 minutes before serving so the lasagna can stay in a shape while you cut. Enjoy!
